Antigoni Tsiarta is currently an intern at the Laboratory and has received a BSc in Civil Engineering from the Cyprus University of Technology on June 2015. After her graduation, she did a 4-month internship in Switzerland through IAESTE program as a Research Assistant. Her research was focused in material testing (slender elements made from high performance concrete prestressed with CFK fibers) by performing fatigue, durability and fire tests. Afterwards, she gained a financial grant from Erasmus+ placement program and she had the opportunity to spend 7 months in Denmark, working at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) as a Lab Assistant. At DTU, she was dealing with triaxial compression tests in sand, trying to determine various material characteristics, such as the cohesion and the angle of friction for different sand densities. Her interests are focused on research and development and she is very concern on social youth issues. She wants to continue her studies in a master program abroad and challenge herself.
